The Alicante-based technology company maintains its unstoppable growth and is committed to a strategic location in the city’s new technology hub
The new facilities house the company’s headquarters, a meeting point for its more than 250 employees
Facephi, a leading company specialising in biometric techonology solutions for the protection of people’s digital identity, continues its dynamic growth journey and moves to new offices in Alicante. The company’s head office is now located in a new business centre which has become the city’s technological hub, situated next to the port. In doing so, Facephi reaffirms its commitment to keeping its HQ in Alicante, where it was founded more than a decade ago.
Facephi will continue to operate, expand its solutions and services, and strengthen its commercial relations worldwide from its new offices, in coordination with its subsidiaries in Seoul, Montevideo and London for the APAC, LATAM and EMEA, respectively.
The technology company’s new location seeks to support its unstoppable rise, having grown from 29 to more than 250 employees in the last four years. The new workplace will be a hub for the company’s employees who continue to innovate every day in the design and implementation of new solutions for protecting people’s digital identities.
Javier Mira, CEO and chairman of Facephi, is pleased and points out that “the new offices reflect the constant growth we have been undergoing in recent years. This new space will inspire us to continue to achieve our goals and give the best of ourselves to our customers and society.”
A ground-breaking project
The project was designed by the Subarchitecture studio and built by Laquent, over 10 months after the demolition of two auditoriums of the old Panoramis cinema. The result is a spectacular building that incorporates innovative techniques and cutting-edge materials, such as the 24 cm thick CLT cross-laminated timber decking.
This is the first office in the Valencian Community to be built with 100% ecological and sustainable structure technology, that change the orientation of panels during assembly. With a zero-carbon footprint, it is set to become widely used in the future and Facephi did not hesitate to include it in its new offices, in line with its innovative philosophy.
The large space covers a total built area of 1,500 m2 and is 9 metres high, with two bridges suspended with a metal structure set into the original old cinema. Without pillars, they float and house workstations and work areas.
As a result, Facephi’s new offices mark an architectural milestone by introducing innovative techniques, new materials and the fusion of living nature. This is undoubtedly a sustainable and environmentally friendly workplace that has considered employee and customer comfort, providing a collaborative and creative working environment that encourages innovation and efficiency.
Growing from Alicante
Facephi continues to expand into new regions and industries from Alicante, with the sale of biometric recognition products tailored to the needs of each customer worldwide. After the excellent results recorded in the last financial year of 2022, with a 69% increase in turnover of €22.24m, the technology company aims to continue growing to meet the digital identity needs of society.
