Alicante, Spain – October 21st, 2017. FacePhi today announced an agreement to offer FacePhi’s Selphi™ face recognition technology to Entrust Datacard’s adaptive authentication platform customers. The joint solution will enable Entrust Datacard, a leading provider of trusted identity and secure transaction technology solutions, to offer facial recognition and an array of biometric-based identity methods to its existing clients and prospects.
Javier Mira, CEO of FacePhi, remarked “This is an opportunity for both companies to expand the use of biometrics and enhance client authentication security without using a password”.
FacePhi and Entrust Datacard have come together to combine their expertise in a way that empowers a truly seamless and secure identification and authentication experience. Banking and enterprise customers alike are able to layer facial recognition into the authentication workflow streamlining access to banking applications as well as employee use cases such as VPN, enterprise and cloud applications.
“With the introduction of facial recognition we continue to shape how we want to experience authentication, which is in fact trying to improve the user’s experience while increasing security,” said Ryan Zlockie, global vice president of authentication for Entrust Datacard.
SelPhi, FacePhi’s proprietary facial recognition system, enables the user to self-authenticate by taking a ‘selfie’ while using a desktop, mobile, or tablet, making the SelPhi a cross-product, cross-platform interoperable form of identity verification. FacePhi’s client base includes 15 financial institutions that have implemented FacePhi’s facial authentication technology as well as multiple partners offering its facial biometrics implemented into their own services.
FacePhi will be introducing its integrated, multi-factor solution at Money2020 USA in Las Vegas on October 23 – 26 at FacePhi’s booth #1305.
