Health
The healthcare sector protected with biometrics
The healthcare sector is digitalising its administrative procedures to combat medical identity theft and medication dispensing fraud in addition to obtain contactless reception of people who visit the clinics.
FacePhi provides healthcare centres and their suppliers with biometric technology to recognise and verify their patients’ identity in order to achieve these objectives.
By onboarding these patients the clinic can identify the people and detect whether they are who they say they are or not, and if so, provide them with medical service and prescribe the required medication.
All the patient has to do is take a picture of their identity document and then a selfie.
The verification process is more streamlined, faster and easier than before thanks to our technology, eliminating the use of a physical medical card and achieving a fully contactless process.
Applications of the technology
Examples of use cases for the healthcare sector
FacePhi’s mission is to help you get to know your patients safely. The following are some of the use cases for our technology.
Onboarding new patients
Onboarding of new patients is conducted online or at the clinic to achieve rapid integration.
Onboarding by assisted or unassisted video call
The onboarding process can be verified by means of a video recording. Furthermore, it can be agent-assisted or unassisted but guided by instructions provided on the health centre’s application.
Patient authentication
The clinic’s patients can be authenticated easily and quickly by facial recognition technology to enter their private area in the healthcare centre’s application.
Identification (1-N) at a kiosk
The patient can be recognised at a health centre kiosk upon arrival, thus reducing waiting times and streamlining queues. It is also possible to authorise access the private area from the kiosk by facial recognition to carry out administrative tasks.
